I to have purchased this to replace and old Panasonic EP790 Shiatsu Massage chair. My old chair had a drive belt wore out and I can't find that part. I think its about 15 years old and if definitely got my moneys worth out of it, using it almost every day.

Be aware that the shipper will not help bring it in the house. Fortunately, I had some help. It was very well packaged and came on a wooden palate which was left in our garage. It was quite easy to remove from the carton and only minor assembly was required which was very easy.

The Panasonic EP1285KL Leather "Urban" Massage Chair with Chiro Mode easily fits through a standard door, and is very attractive and appears very well made. If you want this chair in a bedroom, for example, check your door size. It goes through 36" wide doors on its own wheels. If your door is 30" wide, it needs to be laid on its side to go through.

This new chair is whisper quiet, I think the posting about a noisy chair is less than accurate or they got a defective unit. This chair seems to make less noise than my old one.  I like that the new chair provides lateral massage movement, where the old chair just ran up and down. The massage range has been increased and reaches lower on my back, very nice. The massage heads seem more like real hands. The motorized recline and leg lift feature is nice as well.
